We answer a lot of questions here at Affectionately Yours, but here are a few of
the most frequently asked.....



What Do You Mean By Affectionately Yours "Mall" ?

We want to offer you the largest & most impressive collection of wedding & anniversary accessories & gifts. With that goal in mind, we have arranged with many quality companies to ship merchandise direct to our customers to save time, and to avoid unpleasant & disappointing out-of-stock situations.

At the moment we work with well over 60 vendors, and at least 20 of those may be shipping your order direct. While we do ship an enormous amount of inventory from our own facility, we are extremely pleased to work closely with just about every quality wedding & gift company that has earned a 5 star reputation for impeccable customer service.



Do You Have A Catalog You Can Send Me ?

We don't have any paper catalogs, but this website is the best possible representation of what is currently available. It is constantly updated & correct to the best of our knowledge.



Why Is Shipping Higher On Some Orders Than Others ?

Ship/hand charges are based on orders consisting of a single or average weight items. As stated above, we work with many companies that are going to be shipping your order directly to you. If your order consists of 2 or more items coming from 2 or more companies, we are forced to include ship/hand from those companies.

Shipping from one location is figured on the total order dollar amount....but heavy items & larger orders may increase the charges shown in the cart totals. Orders consisting of, but not limited to, glass favor/gift items, collectibles, favor candles & favor frames may incur additional ship/hand charges due to possible excessive weight. But still less than several tanks of gasoline :)

On the other hand, higher priced items such as jewelry, veils or headpieces may not incur anywhere near the charges shown in the cart. These orders are figured individually to save you as much as we can.


If I Need My Order In A Real Hurry, What Is The Cost Of Air Shipping ?

3 Day, 2 Day or overnight shipping is available in most areas of the US....but there is an additional cost. Air shipping is 100% reliant on parcel dimensions, weight & final destination. Due to these wide variables, we can only estimate the cost until the parcel is actually packed, weighed & entered into the UPS shipping program. We try to come as close as possible, but with UPS "fuel adjustment", "residential delivery" & other charges added to each and every parcel, it is very difficult to be exact. Once the total has been finalized, we will apply the balance or credit to your card & send you an updated invoice by email. We cannot contact you to verify the final charges before shipping.

Here are some ballpark dollar amounts that may help with your decision for rush delivery of lightweight single items only. Multiple or heavy items will incur relevant additional charges. Final totals may amount to more than shown below, but these are a fair starting point that we would normally base an estimate on:

3 Day Air - $ 18.00
2 Day Air - $30
Next Day Saver - $ 45




Ship From Locations
Items from these companies will be shipped separately from any other items & therefore are charged separate ship/hand. The first number before the "-" hyphen indicates where it ships from.

You may notice that several items appear twice on the site...one SKU # starting with "9-" & the other with "2-", etc......this indicates that the same item can be shipped from either location depending if there are other items in your order that ship from either location. For example, if you are ordering 3 items, 2 starting with "9-" & the 3rd from "2-". We can ship that 3rd item from the same location as the first 2 to save you some shipping cost. If time allows, we can often order items normally shipped direct from #'s "2-", "7-", "17-", "23-" & have them shipped to us to include with other items being shipped together. We need at least 2-3 weeks for this...but we cannot guarantee this can be done at any specific time due to availability.

Candles starting with "56-" will always be shipped separately from engraved items starting with same prefix.

Shipping charges shown in the cart are for UPS regular ground. We do reserve the right to upgrade to air for close need by dates. Those charges can only be determined when the parcel is packed & weighed.

Upgraded 3rd Day, 2nd Day or Next Day Air delivery is available on most items. If you desire upgraded delivery, please indicate this request on the final page of the order form under "Customer Notes"




Why Am I Not Able To Choose Shipping Options ?

Affectionately Yours ships all over the world, so options such as "overnight" etc. is just not always possible. Many of our items are custom made to order, and are not available for immediate delivery. We require as part of the order process a wedding or event date so we know the exact time frame we are working with. We do everything possible to make sure you receive your order in plenty of time for that important date.

How Long Do Custom, Imprinted Or Engraved Items Take To Receive ?

Generally these items are shipped within about 3 business days, but depending on volume of orders in assembly, custom cake toppers or other custom items could take 2-3 weeks in rare cases. Engraved items take 3-5 business days for processing unless other arrangements have been made. Rush status is available on most orders but additional charges could be applicable. Imprinted items such as photo albums take about 3 business days for processing. Depending on which state you live in, UPS delivery time could be 1-6 business days.

Can Custom Caketops Be Returned ?

Custom is just that....custom made to order. These pieces are made to your specifications & are non returnable. Toppers that offer any of the following options are considered custom & are a final sale...caketop/accent colors, hair color changes, figurine pose choice, musicboxes, lights and/or dome. We guarantee satisfaction within reasonable limits. All custom items are assembled to order & may vary slightly from samples shown. Lace and/or flowers may vary slightly due to availability. Stones may vary on pewter figurines unless specified. Altered hair color cannot be guaranteed to match standard colors.

These same policies are in place for any personalized or custom made accessories.....such as ring pillows, pen sets, guestbooks, unity candles, etc. These items are always posted as custom made along with no return statements

Please do NOT rely on your monitor to present the exact color shade you are trying to match. Colors vary widely from monitor to monitor, and cannot be relied on to be true to the actual color.



I Love The Figurine On A Certain Topper....Can I Purchase It Separately ?

Unless Figurine Is Featured Alone, Due To Inventory Reasons We Do Not Sell ANY Figurines Without A Finished Base. We Will Be More Than Happy To Ship The Figurine **Unattached** To The Base, But We Cannot Sell It Alone. If You Want It Unattached, Just Order It Normally Making All Your Choices, But On The Final Order Page State In The Special Instructions Text Box That You Want It Unattached.



What Happens If Something In My Order Arrives Damaged ?

It is crucial that you let us know immediately if anything in your order is damaged or broken so we can arrange for a replacement. UPS often chooses to pick up damaged orders for inspection, so please hold onto all packing materials for a minimum of 7 days following arrival. Replacements will be shipped out UPS ground.



What If The Engraving Is Incorrect On My Order ?

We require any engraving orders to be submitted in writing. This can be accomplished by placing the order from our website. If you prefer to call in your order, we will be happy to take down the details, but no work will begin until we receive the names & dates by either fax or email.

In the rare event that the engraving is incorrect, and the fault is ours or that of our supplier, then that item will be replaced at no cost. If the spelling was submitted by the customer incorrect, then said item will be replaced at full cost including ship/hand.



If I Am Not Content With My Order, Can It Be Returned ?

As long as it is not custom made, engraved, imprinted, personalized in any way, special ordered or discontinued.

General merchandise can be returned within 15 days of receipt in original condition & packaging. All returns require a prior authorization so we can provide shipping information & instructions. Unauthorized returns cannot be accepted. All shipments should be fully insured to protect you against loss or damage while in transit.

If returned merchandise and/or original packaging arrives damaged then no credit can be issued. All returns must be in saleable condition.

Original shipping/handling charges are non-refundable

One company requires a restocking fee on returns. This is posted on their merchandise pages

No returns will be accepted after wedding/event date.



Do You Have A Storefront I Can Visit ?

No, so very sorry but we do not have a storefront. We are a design company, and operate out of an assembly studio. Orders placed by customers in nearby Arizona are welcome to pick up their orders by appointment only.
